Dear Friends,
- Minimum age: 8. For children ages 8 – 10, routes may be limited at facilitator’s discretion. Children ages 8 & 9 must be accompanied by a participant age 16 or older while on the course on a 2 to 1 ratio.
- Maximum weight: 250 lbs.
- People with medical issues that could be aggravated by events (including pregnancy) may want to consult a physician before participating.
- Closed-toe, sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for full body harness.
- NO gum, candy, or food.
- NO dangling jewelry.
- Long hair must be pulled back and secured.
- Absolutely nothing remaining in pockets while on SKYWILD.
- A parent or legal guardian must sign waivers for minor participants.
Dress for the outdoors! Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. We strongly recommend that you do not wear any jewelry. Long hair must be tied back. Participants will be provided helmets, harnesses and any required safety gear. No headphones or electronic devices permitted on the course. Our staff will determine if your clothes are adequate, and if they feel your clothing may cause unsafe conditions, you may be refused entry onto Participants are welcome to bring a water bottle. If you choose to do so, water fountains are available for refills. The less you bring to SKYWILD, the better. Each participant is provided the use of a small locker at no charge. This locker is only large enough to hold a cellphone, wallet, and keys. Please leave any large items at home or in your locked car. irt .
SKYWILD does not provide changing rooms so please come dressed to participate. Small lockers will be provided for items you may need to store during your SKYWILD adventure.

Parent/Cub Saturday ONLY Camporee Make-up:

God & Me: This is a 4 week course for Tigers, Wolves, and Bears that will meet every Tuesday in November from 6 – 7 pm. If there are any Webelos that have not taken this course and need it for their Religious Requirement, they will be given precedence. The course has space for 20 scouts, so please don’t wait to sign-up. This course also earns the Religious Knot. This is the only patch that can transfer to the Boy Scout uniform.
Webelos Camping Trip: For all Webelos. It is the first camping trip recommended for a parent to NOT go with your scout. This trip is full of requirements such as planning, cooking, purchasing supplies, ect…They will leave Friday, November 30th and return Sunday, December 2nd. They will be camping at the Kyle Johnson Center at Camp Raven Knob. Please sign up at the table with Hope. If you are a parent that absolutely wants to go on this trip, you will be helping as a Leader.
Veteran’s Day Parade: We do not have specifics yet, but normally this parade is downtown Winston Salem on Saturday. (Should be November 10th) We normally meet at 8 am to line up. The details will be given soon. Please come sign up if you are interested in being in the parade.
Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Party: Our trampoline party is scheduled for 6pm Tuesday, December 4th. We have reserved the first hour as jump with 7 – 7:15 starting our celebration with cake. Pinewood Derby kits are given out at the end, so you may begin work on your cars over the holidays if you like. This is normally a free event, for meeting our popcorn goals, so please set those goals and go get them! Our pack goal is $35K.
