Pack 934 Updates 10/23/18
Good Afternoon Friends,
Parent/Cub Saturday ONLY Camporee Make-up:Update from Pack 934 Treasurer, Matt Love
Dear Pack 934 Parents,
I am happy to share a Popcorn Fundraising Update with you.
Thus far the Pack has sold roughly $18,000 total, led by Wolves with $4,225. This represents 53% of our $35,000 goal.
Please remember that each scout’s responsibility to the pack is about $400 (Lions excluded) – and we encourage your scout to engage friends, family, teachers, and athletic teammates today and tomorrow in-person and online. Popcorn sales help fund or supplement scout outings and operations.
REMINDER:
Please bring your scouts’ popcorn orders and money to the pack meeting tomorrow night, 10/23! We need scouts/parents to properly document totals and PRIZE selections at the bottom of their popcorn forms. We keep the forms, obtain the prizes, and then return the forms with popcorn and prizes at pickup in November.
For any scouts that want to continue selling this week, the FINAL deadline for all popcorn sales will be the following Tuesday, October 30. There’s no meeting that day, but leaders will be present to take up order forms and money.
Thank you for all you do to support your scout and Pack 934!
Sincerely,
Matt Love

Dear Friends,
Pack 934 Updates 10/16/18
Dear Friends,

God & Me: This is a 4 week course for Tigers, Wolves, and Bears that will meet every Tuesday in November from 6 – 7 pm. If there are any Webelos that have not taken this course and need it for their Religious Requirement, they will be given precedence. The course has space for 20 scouts, so please don’t wait to sign-up. This course also earns the Religious Knot. This is the only patch that can transfer to the Boy Scout uniform.
Webelos Camping Trip: For all Webelos. It is the first camping trip recommended for a parent to NOT go with your scout. This trip is full of requirements such as planning, cooking, purchasing supplies, ect…They will leave Friday, November 30th and return Sunday, December 2nd. They will be camping at the Kyle Johnson Center at Camp Raven Knob. Please sign up at the table with Hope. If you are a parent that absolutely wants to go on this trip, you will be helping as a Leader.
Veteran’s Day Parade: We do not have specifics yet, but normally this parade is downtown Winston Salem on Saturday. (Should be November 10th) We normally meet at 8 am to line up. The details will be given soon. Please come sign up if you are interested in being in the parade.
Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Party: Our trampoline party is scheduled for 6pm Tuesday, December 4th. We have reserved the first hour as jump with 7 – 7:15 starting our celebration with cake. Pinewood Derby kits are given out at the end, so you may begin work on your cars over the holidays if you like. This is normally a free event, for meeting our popcorn goals, so please set those goals and go get them! Our pack goal is $35K.A Message from our Pack 934 Treasurer
Dear Pack 934 Parents,
I hope this finds you well following the storm! I’m writing to update you on the Popcorn Fundraiser and encourage sales this sunny weekend. While we’re sad the Raven Knob Camporee was cancelled, we have a unique opportunity to seize the day with popcorn sales!
Your scouts’ popcorn sales directly fund or subsidize scout outings and operating expenses.
Pack 934 has sold just over $9,000 in popcorn, representing 25% of our $35,000 goal.
– It’s a great start, but –
– We are a little behind where we were this time last year.
How can you and your scout help?
– Set a fundraising goal with your scout if you haven’t already.
o Each scout’s responsibility to the pack is $400 (Lions excluded)
o If everyone achieves at least this much, we’re on track to a great finish!
– Take advantage of sunny weather this weekend and speak to your neighbors, family, schools, and sports teammates.
– Register for Online Sales! It’s easy:
o Visit www.trails-end.com and click the “Register Now” button to create your online popcorn sales page. Personalize it with a quote, picture, or avatar! (If anyone has any problems setting up their page, please text Hope at 615-516-8922 who is happy to help.)
o Pack 934 belongs to the Wachovia District and the Old Hickory Council.
Congrats to our Pack, currently #4 in the district’s online sales – let’s see if we can do more by sharing scouts’ popcorn sales links via social media and with emails to family and friends!
Thank you for all you do and for helping fund scouting adventures with popcorn sales.
Best Regards,
Matt Love
