Yorktown Week End Trip

Greetings Scouts and Families!
The USS Yorktown trip is this weekend!  The trip is a little under 5 hours, and our boarding time is at 6pm on Friday, December 1.  We must all be there at the same time, so plan to arrive before boarding time and meet in the overflow parking area of Patriot’s Point.  A parking pass is included in this email; please make sure you have a copy on hand!  The address for Patriot’s Point is: Patriot’s Point Naval & Maritime Museum, 40 Patriot’s Point, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.  A parking map is attached to this email.
Food
Food is not available on board, so plan to eat before you board on Friday night.  The pack will provide breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and a pizza lunch on Saturday afternoon.  Dinner is on your own; the ship has a fundraising relationship with Chick-fil-A and it will be delivered to the ship.  A portion of the proceeds will go back to the USS Yorktown to help provide scholarships for Operation Overnight. You must order AT LEAST 48 hours ahead of time.  The ordering link is here.  I’ve included a list of local food places offering delivery in this email as well.
What to Bring
Please wear your Class A uniform on the ship when we arrive.  Class B’s are appropriate for the rest of our stay.  Please bring a sleeping bag and pillow for the berthing area.  Wear comfortable shoes for walking around the ship.  Showers are available; bring your toiletries, towel, and shower shoes.  And from past experience: bring your EARPLUGS! Rain is in the forecast for this weekend, so plan accordingly.  The temperature will be in the 60s – highs and lows!
Housekeeping
I need to submit a roster to the USS Yorktown, so please fill out this form with the people that will be attending.  If you are interested in doing a Ghost Tour, please fill out this link and John Owen will determine if there is enough interest.  If you have not paid for the Yorktown yet, please do so by the end of the pack meeting or your spot will be forfeited.
